Horse Riding Lessons Class and Instructors

We were blessed to have Scott Baumgartner and Rebekah Tackett of Weatherford volunteer to step in and offer to provide riding lessons while our regular instructor, Torrinda May, recovers from her successful brain surgery on June 24. Six children had lessons in Weatherford on Saturday June 27 and really enjoyed it.

We will do weekly sessions with them each Saturday until Torrinda recovers fully.

Thereafter Scott and Rebekah have volunteered to help our organization reach out to additional resources needed for our ministry

Big event this weekend at our Godley equestrian facility.

The twins, Haven and Hadleigh Kinnee, are, at three years old, the youngest members of our youth group.

On Saturday morning, they had their first ever horseback ride.

The extrovert, try anything. never met a stranger Haven loved every moment of it and is a natural born horse

Lady. When her 10 minutes of riding time was up, she pleaded for more time.

Her introvert sister, cautious, quieter but very cuddly hugging Hadleigh was more demur and had enough at

5 loops of the round pen. She liked it and will grow into it, but a little slower than her sister.

We also brought in the first batch of chickens for the chicken coop this weekend. Our next addition will be a couple

small goats.

This past week, we added a new horse to our Godley facility. He is a 14 year old gelding that is very child friendly and will be perfect for the younger children learning their first equestrian skill and culture set.

They have not decided a name for him yet but promised to by next week.

On an additional happy note, Bella Trice, aged 11, was baptized on Sunday afternoon at our annual old fashion river baptism on the Brazos River in Glen Rose.
