This is a vivid example of our mission’s target.

She is not yet a case for a CPS complaint to be filed…. but close.

If she is lucky, she at least has a mother raising her and her siblings….unlucky if the mother is an addict and/or has a string of abusive boyfriends

More likely, it is a grandparent on limited income trying to take care of as many as six abandoned grandchildren.

She likely has lice infestation… does not get bathed more than once a week…. what food there is usually is junk food…. does not get dental or medical care on any regular basis…. is taught minimal social matters… is babysat by a video game screen.

Through evictions, mother’s revolving door boyfriends, being moved from uncle to grandparent to others, this child knows no real home…. we had a set of three brothers who lived in 28 different places while they were growing up.

When schools are open, the only meals she is assured of is Monday breakfast through Friday lunch… her care providers smoke/drink/snort whatever income they get and weekend meals of any kind are hit and miss. If the care provider does get food stamps and does not sell the proceeds in the black market at a steep discount, then the food is eaten by the adults with leftovers, if any, for the children.

Speaking of school, the child gets zero encouragement from the care giver to complete the education. We have had children who were held out of school for as many as 4 years, supposedly being home schooled but in reality spending those years in front of a video game screen.

The strung out mother will often try to sell the child to human traffickers. This goes on all the time.

Finally, the girl, if she lives that long, will get pregnant at 14, 15 or 16 and start this cycle all over again.

Our mission is to stop this cycle by the only means we have seen that works… embedding them in the old school western country culture values… centered around horsemanship. It works.
